SPECIAL LAVOUD

This instrument was ordered and consequently named by Su Tang of California, adding this special oud to her collection of instruments by Dimitris. It is an oud with the body of a lavta (57 cm string length). It is made of bubinga and curly maple, with a spruce top, horn rosettes, and a root veneer pickguard with horn inlay.

SYRIAN STYLE OUD MADE OF OLD DARK MULBERRY

A simple yet beautiful instrument whose body is made with 200 year old dark mulberry, with a very fine spruce top, and extremely delicate horn rosettes. The end of the pegbox is a pyramid made of horn.

CUSTOM 7 COURSE FLAT BODY ELECTRIC OUD

A very special cutaway, flat body electric oud with dual piezzo and undersaddle pickup system installed.
The soundboard is cedar, with a mahogany and flamed maple body. The ebony fingerboard is inlaid with ivory.

TURKISH STYLE OUD WITH SPECIAL WOODS

This special instrument was made in 2005 with very special woods, including 200 year old mulberry and curly maple for the bowl, neck and pegbox. The soundboard is aged German spruce, the fingerboard and pegs are ebony, and the very lovely rosettes are made of horn.

INLAID TURKISH STYLE OUD FOR MANOLIS BARBATSAS

A special order from Dimitri's workshop for Mr. Barbatsas. The body is pallisander and maple with ebony fingerboard and pegs, with special ivory inlay in the fingerboard, including the Sanscrit symbol "ohm." The rosettes are made of walnut, the pickguard of tortoise shell and the sound board of aged spruce.

SPECIAL 7 COURSE OUD MADE FOR GARI HEGEDUS

Gari Hegedus is the proud owner of this beautiful 7 course instrument, which has a Turkish style body but is designed for typical Iraqi oud tuning. The staves, neck and pegbox are stained maple and pallisander, with a soundboard of aged German spruce. The very unique pickguard is a combination of tortoise shell, ebony and ivory, with a custom samurai crest motive. The pegs and fingerboard are ebony, and the rosettes are made of tortoise shell.

INLAID TURKISH STYLE OUD

Another beautiful Dimitris oud, with wonderful attention to detail. The body is made of stained maple and pallisander, the sound board of aged spruce. The pickguard is of ebony, pallisander and ivory with a matching ivory inlay in the beard (flame). The fingerboard and pegs are made of ebony.

INLAID TURKISH STYLE OUD MADE FOR DAVID LINDLEY

This special oud was custom made for the well known multi-instrumentalist David Lindley. The body is pallisander and flamed maple, with a soundboard of aged German spruce. The pegs and fingerboard are ebony, and the rosettes are made of horn.

INLAID IRAQI/BACHIR STYLE OUD

A beautiful Bachir oud with inlaid fingerboard. The body is made of pallisander, the sound board of aged spruce. The fingerboard and pegs are made of ebony.

IRAQI/BACHIR STYLE OUD WALNUT PUPINGA/ROSEWOOD

On this beautiful oud the body is made of walnut papinga and rosewood, the top of aged spruce. The neck and pegs are made from ebony.

SYRIAN STYLE OUD WITH SINGLE SOUNDHOLE

A truly classic Syrian style oud with the body made of walnut, with beveled ribs. Top of aged German spruce, fingerboard and pegs of rosewood. Beautiful rosette of walnut and bone.

INLAID TURKISH STYLE OUD

A true work of art is presented to you here, a combination of the highest quality materials, and the design based on ouds by the famous maker Manolis Venios. The body is made of Brazilian pallisander and African amazakoue, with the soundboard of aged German spruce. The pegs and fingerboard are ebony, and the rosettes are made of horn.

IRAQI/BACHIR STYLE OUD

Here is a 7-string Bachir oud made for Gari Hegedus. The body is made of rosewood, the sound board of aged spruce. The fingerboard and pegs are made of ebony. Of course on this instrument there is a floating bridge, and the strings attach at the base of the body as shown.

TURKISH STYLE OUD WITH MOTHER OF PEARL INLAY

On this beautiful oud the body is made of pallisander, the top of aged cedar. The neck and pegs are made from ebony. Rosettes made of paduk wood.

EGYPTIAN STYLE OUD

An exquisite Egyptian oud with the body made of maple and pallisander. Top of aged German spruce, fingerboard and pegs of ebony. Beautiful rosettes of horn.

TURKISH STYLE OUD PALLISANDER

The body of this beautiful instrument is made of pallisander. The sound board is of aged cedar, fingerboard and pegs made of ebony. Rosettes made of horn.
